  • Shipping prices vary based on type of shipping selected and distance. Free shipping may be offered with promotions or individual coupon codes.

  • Shipping times vary based on piece type (ready-to-wear vs custom). Pseudocoelomate is a one-person business, so please give grace when setting expectations for shipping times. Expect to wait several days for your package to ship if you order a ready-to-wear piece. For custom order wait times, please see “custom order shipping.”

  • All sales are final. Pseudocoelomate does not issue refunds, exchanges, or returns due to sanitary reasons and the cost of materials. If you believe your piece is defective, please contact Anna at shoppseudocoelomate@gmail.com.

    Anna will send you updates on the construction of your piece if you order a custom PLEASE reach out immediately if you see something you dislike or want changed. Anna will work with you to capture whatever your heart desires, but needs to know before the piece is finished. Pseudocoelomate will not issue partial or full refunds once the piece is finished and/or shipped.

    Pseudocoelomate is not responsible for items that have broken or tarnished due to manual degradation, chemical exposure (perfumes, sunscreen, etc.) or water exposure. Please see the care instructions page for information on how to take care of your piece.

    If you believe your piece has been lost in the mail, please contact USPS or the appropriate company. Pseudocoelomate is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

  • Unfortunately, Pseudocoelomate only offers shipping to the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.), but hopes to expand shipping internationally as the brand grows.

  • Wait times for customs vary based on metal type, material availability, type and style of the custom, and how much information has been provided in the order form. Work will not begin on your piece until you have paid a 40% deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and count towards the final price of your piece. Expect to wait 2-6 weeks (depending on material availability) for a more complicated piece to ship, and ~1 week for a simpler style piece. Please reach out via email if you have not received your piece in this relative time frame.

  • Many people who reach out to Pseudocoelomate wish to have a special bead/pendant/object incorporated into their custom. For the safety of Anna and their roommate, Pseudocoelomate limits material submissions to friends, family, and Columbus, OH residents available for material pickup. Please email Anna if you are unsure if you qualify for material submission.

  • Yes and no! I am able to work with hard, dry specimens such as teeth and other bone. As long as the object is sanitized and you qualify for material submission, I am willing to work with you! Past specimen projects have included animal fur and whiskers, wisdom teeth, animal bone, and insect wings. Please note that Pseudocoelomate does not accept submissions for the following:

    • Wet specimens

    • Ashes (human or animal)

    • Mold/fungus specimens

    • Feathers

    • Human bones from a body other than the customer ordering the piece

  • Pseudocoelomate designs are crafted with a base of high-quality yet affordable materials, including Czech glass, freshwater pearls, semiprecious stones, Austrian glass crystal, and other beads known for their quality. Metals used in each piece are listed in the product description of each design. Soldered work will never contain lead.

    Pseudocoelomate pieces are primarily created with 304 grade stainless steel, vintage, and secondhand materials, all of which which may contain nickel. Ready-to-wear pieces will contain an allergen warning if applicable. Please notify Anna if you are ordering a custom and have a metal allergy in the “anything else” section. Pseudocoelmate primarily uses nylon coated metal wire and 304 grade stainless steel.

  • Due to the handmade nature of the brand, Pseudocoelomate does not offer discounts or free items based on follower count, regardless or reach or willingness to advertise. You are likely to get discounts as a returning customer, so please be respectful if contacting Anna for business inquiries.
