Pseudocoelomate (pronounced su-do-see-lo-mate) is a Columbus, Ohio owned and operated jewelry brand created and designed by Anna Smith. Inspired by the media we consume, Anna uses high-quality yet affordable materials to create wearable works of art based on a particular piece of media. Whether it be a nostalgic film, a beautiful song, or an ethereal animation, Pseudocoelomate designs are meant to reflect the emotions, colors, themes, and even sounds of the art they embody.

Pseudocoelomate was founded in 2022 out of Anna’s college apartment, and has since built a reputation among its customers for designer-quality jewelry without the thousand dollar price tag. This is made possible with the use of high-quality yet affordable materials such as 304 grade stainless steel, freshwater pearls, and Czech glass. Pseudocelomate sources materials globally, but prioritizes materials from Ohio-owned bead supply shops and craft reuse stores. Vintage and secondhand components are sourced from thrift stores and outlets. Since 2023, Pseudocoelomate has been committed to sourcing its new materials solely from established, ethical manufacturers, ensuring high quality and fair labor standards for the workers who create the components.

Ready-to-wear designs currently offered include necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. If you are looking for a particular theme, fear not! Pseudocoelomate also offers custom designs. Have questions? Check out the FAQ!
